Sustainable Green Initiative has been the tree planting partner for corporate social responsibility activities of leading companies in India. As part of the  corporate's continued CSR tree plantation activities, at SGI, we plant and nurture trees in communities across India - trees that will alleviate hunger, poverty and climate change. These trees also help to offset carbon footprints.

We have planted and are nurturing more than 100,000 (mostly fruit) trees in the following locations in the Delhi NCR and surrounding areas of Rohtak, Faridabad, Palwal, Jhajjar and Nuhu districts of Haryana:

 

1. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Jaffarpur - 9100 trees
2. Yamuna Banks, DMRC land at Shastri Park - 2100 trees
3. BSF Camp Chhawla - 25,000 trees
4. Ish Vatika, Kair - 2100 trees
5. Auxilium, Kair - 1100 trees
6. St Charles School, Samsapur - 1200 trees
7. Vasant Vihar Club, Vasant Vihar - 500 trees
8. Holy Family Hospital, Okhla -  200 trees
 9. Anandashram, Gurgaon - 2100 trees
10. BSF  Camp, Bhondsi - 20,000 trees.

Other than the above locations we are nurturing 32,000 fruit trees in the villages of Mewat region of Haryana. This is done with the active involvement of marginal farmers and women of these villages.
